Personal

Outside of research and teaching, I enjoy camping, road trips, and exploring the landscapes of the American West. I have visited ten U.S. national parks so far and am always looking forward to the next one. Living in Utah makes it easy to spend time among mountain trails, alpine lakes, and desert scenery, whether on a weekend trip nearby or a longer journey farther from home. 

I also enjoy playing soccer, cooking, and gathering with friends over board games and good food. Most of all, I value spending time with my family, which gives everything else more meaning.
